 ABSTRACT

The full value and benefit of 3-D in the Architecture Engineering Construction and Owner-operated (AECO) industry emerges when building and campus datasets are strategically integrated and made available for ongoing facility operations and workflows.

In this session, David Carter of CDP Engineers and Josh Ayoroa of Ayoroa Simmons will explore how 3-D (or Realty Capture) is transforming the way the AECO industry designs and operates buildings, campuses, and other assets in the built environment.

Who can use this data? What types of projects justify the cost? How can AECO professionals begin incorporating these tools into their current operations?  Through real-world examples of recent projects, attendees will recognize this digital transformation is taking place in two discrete but increasingly converging disciplines of Building Information Modeling (BIM @ Inside) and Geographic Information System (GIS @ Outside).
